Guinguette festival in the open air by the Loiret
Since 2021, the town of Olivet has organized La Bamboche every summer, an outdoor festival with a warm guinguette atmosphere, nestled in the green setting of the Parc du Poutyl, along the Loiret river. This festive and popular event was born from the merger of two Olivet cultural events: the “Les Moulins à Parole” festival and the “Tout un programme” summer entertainment.
Conceived in late 2020 by the Culture and Animation department of the Olivet town hall, La Bamboche was designed as an optimistic response to the health crisis, with the desire to recreate social connection outdoors. The term “retro-contemporary” was chosen to symbolize the hope of a return to normal, festive life. From its first edition in 2021, with Têtes Raides and Tanguy Pastureau as headliners, the festival attracted 8,000 spectators.
Throughout July, from Wednesday to Sunday, La Bamboche offers about forty shows on two stages: the Guinguette stage and the Théâtre de Verdure. The program mixes concerts (French chanson, pop, folk, jazz, blues, world music), theater, street arts, circus, comedy, and open-air cinema every Friday evening at 10 p.m. The vast majority of shows are free, with only the headliners being ticketed or requiring reservation.
Every Wednesday, La Bambinoche welcomes the youngest with storytelling, puppet shows, music, and artistic awakening activities, in a dedicated space in the heart of the park. This free entertainment, conceived from the first edition, makes La Bamboche a truly family and intergenerational event.
The Bar à Bamboche is the beating heart of the festival. Open from Wednesday to Sunday in the late afternoon, it offers sandwiches, charcuterie boards, daily specials, and cold drinks. On Friday and Saturday evenings, savory and sweet food trucks complement the food offerings. The large, convivial tables under the fairy lights in the trees create a unique atmosphere by the water.
Since its creation, La Bamboche has seen continuous growth in attendance: 8,000 visitors in 2021, over 10,000 in 2022, and 13,000 in 2023. The festival was nominated for the Trophées du tourisme du Loiret 2024, demonstrating its rapid integration into the cultural and tourist landscape of the department.
The 6th edition of La Bamboche takes place from Friday, July 3 to Sunday, July 26, 2026 at Parc du Poutyl in Olivet. Four weeks of festival from Wednesday to Sunday, with around forty mostly free shows: concerts (French chanson, soul, blues, electro-pop, world music), theatre, street arts, circus, comedy, open-air cinema on Friday evenings, and youth activities with La Bambinoche. Cœur de Pirate is announced as the event concert of this edition, accompanied notably by Christophe Mali, MouNtain Men, and Amandine Lourdel. Guinguette atmosphere on the banks of the Loiret with a bar, food trucks, and large tables under the fairy lights.
After the success of the 5th edition (over 13,000 spectators), La Bamboche returns to Parc du Poutyl in Olivet for four weeks of guinguette festival, from Friday, July 3 to Sunday, July 26, 2026. As every year, the event takes place from Wednesday to Sunday, with around forty shows spread across four locations: the Scène Guinguette facing the castle, the Théâtre de Verdure, the Ancien Skatepark, and the Gare à Bateau for the youngest.
Almost all shows are free to access. Only a few headliners at the Théâtre de Verdure are paid or require reservation: Cœur de Pirate is announced as the event concert of the 2026 edition, on tour for the release of her new album. On the comedy and French chanson side, the program notably welcomes Christophe Mali (ex-Tryo, Saturday, July 5 at 9:30 PM at the Théâtre de Verdure), Amandine Lourdel (one-woman show, Sunday, July 13 at 6 PM, ages 16 and up) and the blues-rock duo MouNtain Men (Saturday, July 19 at 9:30 PM).
The Bar à Bamboche is open from Wednesday to Sunday: sandwiches, charcuterie boards, daily specials, and cold drinks. On Friday and Saturday evenings, savory and sweet food trucks complete the offer. Large convivial tables under the fairy lights on the banks of the Loiret.
Cœur de Pirate (Béatrice Martin) is announced as the event concert of this 6th edition, on tour for her new album — online ticketing on Weezevent via the official website.
