ℹ️ Show discontinued at Château de Selles-sur-Cher. Magica Noctis was an immersive nocturnal light trail that illuminated the Château de Selles-sur-Cher (Loir-et-Cher). Designed by the company Pyradaire, this 1.5-kilometer trail passed through the castle before extending into an enchanted forest, featuring 450 projectors, 5 kilometers of fairy lights, and 26 computers orchestrating lasers, magical lighting, and soundscapes. The last documented edition in Selles-sur-Cher took place during winter 2023-2024 (until January 20, 2024). Since then, the organizer has transferred its nocturnal show to the Forteresse de Montrichard, under the new name « Nuits du Donjon »: the Magica Noctis trail is no longer held at the Château de Selles-sur-Cher.

Magica Noctis was a nocturnal light trail that transformed the Château de Selles-sur-Cher and its gardens into a magical and enchanting universe. Located in the heart of the Val de Loire, about an hour from Tours, Blois, Vierzon, and Châteauroux, this immersive show was among the most spectacular nocturnal experiences in Loir-et-Cher.
The 1.5-kilometer trail passed through the courtyards and rooms of the medieval castle before extending into an enchanted forest. Visitors walked through successive luminous scenes, each telling a story and creating a unique atmosphere. Large-scale laser projections on the castle facades were one of the highlights of the trail, blending cutting-edge technology with historical heritage.
Magica Noctis deployed an impressive technical setup: 450 projectors, 5 kilometers of fairy lights, and 26 computers programmed along the trail orchestrated a ballet of lights, colors, and sounds. The show was designed by Pyradaire, a company specializing in light creations based in Noyers-sur-Cher, which had chosen the Château de Selles-sur-Cher for its setting combining medieval architecture and natural landscape.
Magica Noctis was an experience designed for all ages. Children were amazed by the magical décors and light displays, while adults appreciated the visual poetry and artistic quality of the trail, which was stroller-accessible and family-friendly.
The nocturnal show concept developed by Pyradaire now continues at the Forteresse de Montrichard, under the name « Nuits du Donjon ». The Château de Selles-sur-Cher, for its part, remains a heritage building that can be visited during the day during the tourist season.
