About Tour du Lac
The Tour du Lac de Vassiviere is a legendary foot race that takes place every year in June around Lake Vassiviere, in the heart of the Millevaches Regional Natural Park in Limousin. Created in 1997, the event offers a main course of 23.4 km on the road around the lake, as well as a 9.5 km nature trail and a 26 km Nordic walking event. With over 1,500 participants, it is one of the major sporting events in Creuse.

The Tour du Lac de Vassiviere, a sporting jewel of Limousin
Since 1997, the Tour du Lac de Vassiviere has brought together runners and walkers for an exceptional sporting weekend on the shores of Lake Vassiviere. The main 23.4 km course goes all the way around the lake on the road, with 250 meters of positive elevation gain and four refreshment stations. All races start from the Auphelle beach.
Several events for all levels
Saturday is dedicated to Nordic walking with a 26 km course labeled National Nordic Tour. On Sunday, runners set off on the Tour du Lac (23.4 km on the road) or the nature trail (9.5 km). Children's races complete the program for the youngest. The event is organized by the association KM42 en Limousin and Terra Sports 23.
An exceptional natural setting
Lake Vassiviere, with its 1,000 hectares, offers a magnificent natural setting for this event. The course passes through the towns of Peyrat-le-Chateau, Royere-de-Vassiviere and Faux-la-Montagne, offering spectacular panoramas of the lake and the forests of Limousin.
