XTERRA Nouvelle-Aquitaine, the wild triathlon of Vassiviere
XTERRA Nouvelle-Aquitaine has settled at Lake Vassiviere to offer a unique outdoor sports experience. The XTERRA format, born in Maui (Hawaii), combines open water swimming, mountain biking, and trail running in demanding natural conditions. The wild setting of Lake Vassiviere, with its forests and technical trails, makes it an ideal playground.
A complete program over two days
Saturday is dedicated to cross triathlon with four formats: Full, Sprint, Super Sprint, and Kids. On Sunday, trail runners compete in four distances: 7 km, 13 km, 25 km, and 42 km. A total of 28 qualifying spots for the XTERRA World Championships and 30 spots for the Junior World Championships are at stake.
An international event in Creuse
Integrated into the XTERRA Planet circuit, the event attracts athletes from around the world to the shores of Lake Vassiviere. The 7,500 euro prize money for the Elite category and the friendly atmosphere make this event a must-attend on the European XTERRA calendar.
