The outdoor sports festival of Couserans
CimaFest is a festival that celebrates mountain culture through sport and music. Born from the initiative of an association of young outdoor sports enthusiasts from Couserans, the event offers an original format in two parts: a winter edition in January at the Guzet Neige resort, at the foot of the ski slopes, and a summer edition in June in Moulis, a village in Couserans nestled in the Lez valley. This double event allows you to experience the mountains in all their facets, in winter and summer.
A complete sports program
CimaFest offers an impressive range of sports activities, supervised by professionals and accessible to all levels:
- Paragliding: tandem flights, inflation workshops, freestyle demonstrations, and competitions.
- Climbing: bouldering initiation, bouldering contests, and cliff climbing initiation in the Moulis canyon.
- Kayaking: border cross, freestyle demonstrations, and initiation on local rivers.
- Slacklining: initiation and highline demonstrations above the Moulis canyon.
- Mountain Biking: shuttles and forest descents.
- Skateboarding: free access ramps and contests.
- Skiing: during the winter edition at Guzet Neige.
Concerts and festive atmosphere
On Saturday evening, CimaFest transforms into a live music festival with an eclectic program mixing reggae, French rock, afrobeat, hip-hop, drum and bass, and techno. The concerts take place outdoors, in a spectacular mountain setting, and continue late into the night. Sunday is dedicated to screening outdoor sports films and the last sports activities before the festival closes.
Moulis, a Pyrenean village between sport and nature
Moulis is a village of 800 inhabitants located 6 km from Saint-Girons, in the heart of Couserans. Crossed by the Lez, a tributary of the Salat, the village is dominated by limestone cliffs and surrounded by forests. Its canyon, its rivers, and its rock faces offer an ideal playground for outdoor sports. CimaFest takes advantage of this exceptional natural environment to offer authentic and spectacular sports activities, in a spirit of conviviality and sharing that defines the festival's identity.
